How To Join (2011-2012)
To become a member, register online and pay your annual dues electronically with a $0.50 convenience fee.
- Dues are only $35 for local students and $25 for distance students, and they include a free t-shirt! There is a $0.50 charge to pay electronically by check. If you are able to attend the meetings and events on campus, you are considered a local student.
- In addition to social events, we meet monthly and benefit from a guest speaker for professional development.
- TLAC GSA members also have access to supplemental grants for travel and research through the department.

The Teaching, Learning and Culture Graduate Student Association (TLAC GSA) at Texas A&M University exists to inform and enrich the graduate experience for all graduate students in the TLAC department.
The goals of TLAC-GSA are to:
- Enhance the graduate experience with through an emphasis on scholarship, service, and professional development.
- Assist graduate students in theoretical and applied research for the continued benefit of all its members.
- Conduct professional development and other activities to meet the needs of the members of the association as they join the world of academia.
Additional benefits:
- Build relations between faculty and graduate students.
- Interact with associating disciplines (ex. science dept., stats depts, modern languages, etc.).
- Represent and be a voice for TLAC graduate students.
- Build a community of researchers and foster a partnership with scholars at other universities.
- Volunteer in public schools.
